The main office of the Institute Catalan of Retina (ICR) is in the Sarrià quarter of the city of Barcelona and is the centre of reference for all other offices. ICR Sarrià has 22 ophthalmology offices, 11 optometry offices and an emergency service opened 24 hours a day all year, with a doctor who is always available and a surgeon on call.

|
Currently located in c/Londres, with 740 m ² worth of facilities, it is equipped with nine ophthalmology offices and four optometry offices.
All the ophthalmologic specialties are treated and several tasks are carried out: from visits, to emergencies, diagnosis tests and therapeutic laser and surgical procedures.
The ophthalmology department at the Hospital Universitari Sagrat Cor (Sagrat Cor Teaching Hospital) is a university teaching centre, where medical coverage is provided, and resident doctors get trained.

ICR Terrassa
|
The office in Terrassa is located in the emblematic building of the Cercle Egarenc, right in the Terrassa town centre.
It has two ophthalmology offices, another one for optometry and a room for diagnosis and treatments.
It is equipped with last technology equipments in order to perform complementary tests, to detect ophthalmic diseases and to carry out treatments. Other tests are performed to assess if the patient is a good candidate for refractive surgery.

ICR Sarrià 24 HOUR EMERGENCIES
The emergency service at the ICR offers a complete 24 hours coverage of eye emergencies for patients with any visual problem.
Since its foundation, the emergency service has won the trust of thousands of patients and ophthalmologists from all around Catalonia who refer their patients to our centre. We have agreements with most insurance companies. Our service also offers assistance to all patients affected by accidents at work or ocular diseases caused by their professional activities.
This service has increased considerably since its creation. The department currently takes up a 250 m² area, with four emergency examination rooms and a first aid room. The facilities have all the necessary equipment to ensure a proper emergency assistance.
